Scottsdale named No. 1 Healthiest Employer in the Valley


Phoenix Business Journal awarded Scottsdale first place in the "large companies" category at the annual "Healthiest Employers" event in April.


The award recognizes the city's emphasis on wellness by implementing programs that encourage, involve, and assist employees in areas beyond just physical activity and nutrition.


Scottsdale’s most prominent wellness initiative is My Financial Wellness Planner, which encourages employees to learn about financial wellness.

Explore GPEC's Economic Monitor Tool


The Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) has developed the Economic Monitor to ensure that local leaders, policymakers, and investors receive prompt and actionable insights. The tool grants immediate access to crucial data points that combine to provide a clear and succinct overview of economic well-being. 


The Economic Monitor Tool closely tracks economic trends and activity both nationally and regionally, offering a comprehensive summary that empowers individuals to stay informed and make well-informed decisions.

Arizona ranked one of the most Innovative States in the Nation

Association


The 2023 U.S. Innovation Scorecard produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) evaluated all 50 states on 11 quantitative and qualitative categories, including internet, STEM education, diversity and inclusion, and support for disruptive technologies like self-driving vehicles, drones, and telehealth.

Arizona was among 13 states highlighted as innovation champion and ranked No 5. Three A grades in drones and advanced air mobility, in self-driving vehicles and in telehealth helped Arizona achieve the report's highest designation.

Donate to Vista del Camino Center Back to School Program


Each year more than 1,000 students receive essential school supplies through Vista Del Camino's Back to School Program. The program, in partnership with Scottsdale Community Partners, provides essential school supplies, backpacks, clothing, and shoes to income-eligible, Scottsdale-based students, kindergarten through 12th grade.


The program is currently seeking donations. Download a list of items and drop-off locations before June 19 if you would like to participate.

Pac-12 Baseball returns to Scottsdale for their second annual tournament on May 23-27.


The tournament will now include nine teams and adopt a pool play system. The pool play will span Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, featuring three games per day, and each pool will play a round-robin. Details here.
