Relay for Life Raffles

Southern Rivers Energy team members are selling raffle tickets to raise money for Relay for Life. Shane has donated a flag for us to giveaway and there are tickets available for a $250 meat bundle from Honeywood Farms. Both tickets are $5 each and will be drawn at Relay for Life on November 4th.

What was your career path before coming to work at SRE? Before coming to SRE, I worked as a firefighter.

What do you enjoy doing for fun? I love fishing and spending time with family.

What’s one thing on your bucket list? I want to visit Utah.

SRE recently showed out at Brad White's Wednesday After the Masters Golf Tournament last month. Steve Caison, Stephen Goodman, Jordan Webb and Mike Fiveash placed third place. Congratulations!

Southern Rivers Energy has a 2023 Relay for Life Team

Relay For Life of Lamar County Area is going back to in-person for the first time since 2019. This 24-hour event is one you will not want to miss. November 4-5, 2023, 9 a.m.-9 a.m. at Summers Field Park.

The committee strategically chose the name as “Lamar County Area” instead of just Lamar County because it is the only Relay in this area—the closest Relay events are McDonough, Columbus and Warner Robins. Teams, businesses, event entertainment, cancer support groups and survivors will be recruited from Butts, Spalding, Pike, Upson, Monroe and Lamar.

Chelsea and April are the captains of our SRE team. It is open to employees and families (even kids!). Please sign up here. It's going to be a fun time, raising money for a very important cause. (And don't worry, you aren't obligated to walk.)

Even if you aren't interested in joining the Relay for Life team, there are several fun events this year that you can support--Texas Hold'em Tournament, Ladies Night, a Small Fry Tri (ages 2-6), and a community yard sale.
