Dear YMCA Staff,

Spring around the YMCA is a very exciting time with warm weather and lots of great things happening! 

Top 10 Things to Remember in May:

10 – There is zero percent chance of snow this month!!! Congratulations to our Snow Total Winners for 2018-19
•     Total Inches of snow = Nancy Baumann, predicting 20”…we actually had 22.5
•     Snow days = Kevin Simms, predicting 4 snow days.
•     Late Openings = Jackie Seeger, Caroline Roy and Cidalia Bourdon. All predicting 4 late openings.
•     Early Closing = Britt Tripp and Kari Robarge, both predicting 0.

9 - May is Aquatic Safety Month – Did you know that drowning is the #1 leading cause of death for children 0-5 years old. Thank you to Barbara Glaude and staff for speaking on this in a variety of areas this month including our state capital! 

8 – Membership Staff Appreciation Week – May 6-10 – Thank you to all of our hard working Membership Service Staff.

7 – Employee Appreciation Dinner – May 9 - featuring tons of tenure milestones including 30 years of service for Dot Glynn and Mary Pelletier.
 
6 - Good luck to the SCCYMCA Gymnastics Team at their Regional Meet in Maine, May 10-12 – great work Jamie Lee and team!
 
5 – Charity Night at Smokin With Chris
May 15 at 6pm – To raise funds for camp scholarships.

4 – Culture Club presents – May 17 – Memorial Forest Clean Up Day. Come out and help us clean up this beautiful area where we are remembering so many loved ones – 9:30am to 12pm – lunch is on the Y!

3 – Crisis Management Drill is scheduled for May 29 from 11am to 12noon – are you prepared?...if not, see your supervisor for details! 

2 – Music on the Green – sponsored by the YMCA on May 29 – featuring WOODEN HORSE, a Crosby, Stills & Nash /America tribute band.

1 – If you remember one thing this month – make sure it is Mother’s Day – May 12! Special thanks to all the hardworking moms at our YMCA!
