Retirement Celebration for Lyle Campbell

Following the Annual General Meeting, the LDSCR Board invites you to a special retirement social in honor of Lyle Campbell.

Lyle will be retiring as Executive Director of the District at the end of June. Join us as we thank him for his years of dedicated service and wish him all the best in his next chapter.

The Lakeland District for Sport, Culture and Recreation is seeking to recruit a new Board member with the capacity, experience and skills necessary to oversee the strategic operation and advancement of our organization.

The LDSCR is a volunteer-based non-profit organization that operates under the Policy Board Governance model. We are a part of an integrated network of organizations that strive to strengthen the sport, culture and recreation system through effective leadership, partnerships and collaborations.​

 

LDSCR Board members serve for a 3 year term and are expected to attend approximately 4 or 5 meetings per year. This would be a combination of in-person and virtual meetings.

February 15-21, 2026

The 2026 Saskatchewan Winter Games are coming to Flying Dust First Nation and the City of Meadow Lake!

In February of 2026, more than 1,500 athletes, coaches and officials will gather in the neighbouring northwestern communities of Meadow Lake and Flying Dust First Nation to share in the thrill of competition and camaraderie on the provincial stage. Upwards of 1,000 community volunteers will be recruited to help welcome thousands of visitors to the area during the seven days of Games competition.



The Saskatchewan Games Council looks forward to joining in this historic partnership with Flying Dust First Nation, the City of Meadow Lake, and the 2026 Saskatchewan Winter Games Host Society to stage an unforgettable celebration of sport, volunteerism, and community.

TOPS is a long term non-profit organization to assist folks that are interested in a focus of Health & Wellness. 


Weight loss doesn't begin in the gym with a dumbbell; it starts in your head with a decision. 


You didn't gain all your weight in one day; you won't lose it in one day. Be patient with yourself. 


www.tops.org is the place for finding out some of the answers to some of your questions. There are in-person, on-line or virtual options for the flexibility of any schedule, yearly membership is a requirement to participate. Throughout the year there are many events to participate in with group rallies or retreats. If you choose a land location - the first visit is FREE to see if it's a fit for your needs. This organization has been around for 75 plus years and is comparable to Weight Watchers only it runs as a non-profit.  


Pre-registration for membership is required prior to contacting for the on-line experience, these are the flexible meeting days/times:
