Maps are now available at the Grundy County FSA Office for acreage reporting purposes. Producers are encouraged to file their acreage reports as soon as planting is completed.
Due to the continued issues with COVID, producers need to contact the Grundy County Office at (815) 942-0359 x 2, to make arrangements to certify your planted acreages!
We will provide producers with several options to complete the certification process, including the following:
- Producers should contact the FSA office to pick up their maps or have them mailed to them out. You will then document the required acreage information on the maps and return to our office for processing.
- Producers can meet with staff at the FSA Office to certify in person (limited to 1 producer at a time) or, for smaller producers, report over the phone.
- Have maps e-mailed to you for the reporting process.
In all cases, we need to have your completed maps returned to our office!
After completed maps are received back in our office and processed, you will be contacted for required signatures on the FSA-578. Prior to signing the FSA-578, it is your responsibility to ensure that the reported acreages are correct.
Appointments MUST be scheduled prior to your office visit!
The deadline to report spring planted crops is July 15, 2021.
To maintain program eligibility and benefits, you must file timely acreage reports. Failure to file an acreage report by the crop reporting deadline may cause ineligibility for future program benefits. FSA will not accept acreage reports provided more than a year after the acreage reporting deadline.
