The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.
It is the source of all true art and science.

May is an exciting month at the gallery; aside from the usual spring wildness (Girl's Night Out was a great success!), we are gearing up to celebrate Max Hayslette's 90th birthday this June. Max, Carrie & friends will begin the festivities with a week-long Alaskan cruise departing May 25th. Then mark your calendars for June 29, 1-4pm, as Carrie Goller Gallery will be co-hosting Max Hayslette's 90th birthday gala at Martha & Mary in Poulsbo! Thank you Martha & Mary for offering to host this event. You won't want to miss celebrating this special day for our beloved Max!
Wahl - Seaglass/Gemstone Sterling jewelry

We are ready for Mother's Day with gifts for all ages/budgets; including Max Hayslette's new $20 art prints (non-archival), Carrie Goller's $60 Cactus Party encaustic/watercolor original miniatures, plus $25 framed mini-prints, and

Introducing...

Finely crafted, beautiful, yet affordable seaglass / gemstone jewelry by the gallery's latest addition - Pacific Northwest artist, Alison Wahl (we are big fans of her adjustable-size chunky rings and trying hard to keep them in stock!).

Meanwhile, all artists are hard at work, as usual. Max Hayslette is so busy working on gallery commissions it is rare he is actually able to bring in a new, unspoken-for piece to the gallery. Sophie Frieda continues to create her beautiful Floratanicals (see Diva above) and teaches weekly studio classes, while Carrie has been juggling keeping galleries and Bainbridge Museum Gallery Store supplied, whilst creating commissioned pieces and teaching in encaustic and watercolor.  It's looking like a full schedule with all hands on deck, now through summer! Please note that although we are open daily (11-5:30) the gallery will be closed Saturday, May 18 for the wildness that is Viking Fest

Custom Jewelry by Charles Goller

Artist Charles Goller creates intricately wire-wrapped jewelry from precious gemstones and crystals which he selectively imports world-wide. He also does specialized custom work. He has worked hard to establish trusting connections and cares deeply about his sources; many in small villages around the globe, where the gems are mined by the villagers and contribute to the majority of their income. Recently Charles has been invited to a museum and several galleries in Sedona, AZ and Santa Fe, NM and is also supplying a New Zealand store with his work. Ever-expanding his skills, currently Charles is becoming an engraver, which keeps him rather busy. However, he still does accept commissions.
