Rhythm and Rhyme

Join staff from the Villa Park Public Library for a FREE story time on the road! Each week will feature stories, music and movement. The next Rhythm and Rhyme program is on Monday, May 15 from 11:30am-12:00pm at the Heritage Center.

Touch-A-Truck

We want to invite you to Heritage Park for the 2023 edition of Touch-A-Truck on Saturday, May 20. This FREE event runs from 10:00am-12:00pm and allows children to explore all the different trucks around the community. They are welcome to climb, honk and touch these large machines from right behind the wheel! It is a great opportunity for you and your family to get a close up look at the vehicles that serve your community.

Summer Camp Registration

Register now for all the exciting camp offerings here at the Oakbrook Terrace Park District. Rising Star Summer Camp is for children ages 3-5 and features fun weekly themes, games, arts & crafts, and outdoor play. The price is $75 per week. The Super Star Summer Camp is a full-day camp for children ages 5-12 and is $165 per week. There are payment plans available for both camps. Register today! 2's and 3's Just for Me Camp

Back by popular demand, the 2’s and 3’s Just For Me Camp is all about meeting new friends and having fun. Campers will have circle time, make crafts, and learn to follow the camp routine. The camp is every Tuesday and Thursday from June 6-29 and July 11-August 3 from 9:30-11:30am. Register today!

Lake View Nature Center Open House

Do you want to visit some cool critters? Would you like to learn more about the programs and events at the Nature Center? Then come out to our next open house, which is Saturday, May 27 from 11:00am-2:00pm! Open to all and no registration is required.

Welcome Back to Nature

The Lake View Nature Center kicks of summer with its FREE family event - Welcome Back to Nature! Bring the whole gang out on Friday, June 9 from 6:00-8:00pm to enjoy animal encounters, fishing, games, crafts and a cozy campfire at dusk. All ages welcome.

Nature Center Mini Camps

The Nature Center offers a variety of mini camps for your little outdoor adventurer. New this year is Outdoor Trekkers, a nature skills camp that builds on the skills taught at Survivor Mini Camp and Fishing Mini Camp. All mini camps are held at the Lake View Nature Center. Chicago Union Ultimate Disc Camp

Ultimate is a fast, fun, easy-to-learn field game played with a disc. It’s a non-contact sport combining the athleticism of running and agility skills of throwing and catching. Players advance the disc by completing passes to teammates. The Chicago Union offers this week-long camp introducing basic rules, throwing and catching techniques, and offensive/defensive strategies to develop skills through games and activities that emphasize teamwork, good spirit, and the joy of play. Campers receive a Chicago Union disc, a replica jersey and four tickets to select 2023 Chicago Union home game. There are two sessions - June 26-30 and July 10-14 - which will be held at Heritage Park. Register today! 

Student Special

We are offering a special membership to all students for summer break: A three-month membership for $50! The membership will begin the day you purchase it (must sign up between May 15 and June 15) and will expire three months later. *Must have a student ID to qualify.
