Villa Maria College
Last month, Villa Maria College’s
Interior Design
students hosted an exhibit that showcased the work they have created over the past academic year. The walls of
Paul William Beltz Family Art Gallery
were adorned with 29 renderings and glass pieces designed by 14 of our sophomore, junior and senior students.

7 Crew Offices and Cafe by Henri Cleinge, in Montreal
Cleinge’s transformation of a bank in Old Montreal into a stately co-working space for freelancers and creatives was another entry on our list of 2016’s best interior projects. We gave Cleinge and the new Crew Offices top marks for thoughtfully retaining and restoring some of the room’s historic features – brass teller stands, brass light fixtures and a carved- and painted-plaster ceiling – while adding new elements that feel contemporary, yet right at home, such as brass-plated steel and glass-enclosed cubes for meeting space.

Thanks to Schollen & Company's landscape architects, a new green space near Dundas East and Coxwell Avenue will impress come sleet or shine. Names Raindrop Plaza, the community space features a ground-surface artwork designed by local schoolchildren, curved ledgerock seating walls and winding urban creek bed commemorating the city's lost rivers. Trench drains and catch basins channel and store rainwater, which reduces neighborhood flooding.
University of Rochester Medical Center
New building celebrates New York State's landscapes while entertaining and educating.
The new Golisano Children's Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center will be a place of healing but it will also be a place to celebrate who our patients, families, faculty and staff are.
