2019 CDC Childhood Immunization Champion for Washington State!

|
Dr. Hamling is a pediatrician who encourages immunizations for all his patients at his busy full-time practice. He’s a regular expert on children’s health and immunizations for a variety of news media, including local television. Over the last two years, his young patients have seen a huge increase in vaccination completion rates, protecting them from serious diseases.

Update on Immunization Legislation in WA
|
|
House Bill 1638
:
Promoting immunity against vaccine preventable diseases
which both removes personal belief exemptions from the MMR vaccine and requires child care center staff to provide proof of vaccination or immunity,
passed the legislature on April 23rd!
The bill now heads for review by Governor Jay Inslee.

Vaccination Mandates
New York Mayor Bill de Blasio ordered those living in areas of Brooklyn to be vaccinated for measles. Philadelphia adopted a similar policy in response to a measles outbreak in 1991 as told by Dr. Paul Offit. Listen to or read the full interview
