Last week to log miles!

Two days to ride; four days to log.

With about 125,000 miles to go, 50 Corridor cyclists have until Wednesday to pedal to our 500,000 goal.  The web site will accept miles until the close of business Friday.

Franchise Tax Board (large employer category) and Dokken Engineering (small employer category) continue to be 50 Corridor worksites with the most logged miles.

Help us meet our goal - every mile counts:  commute, recreation and errand. www.mayisbikemonth.com
Bike Month Garage Sale!

T-shirts, water bottles, string bags, slap braclets, leg bands, bike pins, bike key chains and more!  We're cleaning out the bike month storage closet and putting everything up for "take out" on Friday, June 2.

Drop by the Pedal Stop between 6 - 8 p.m. to "shop" for your bike month souvenirs from 2017 and previous years.

A pair of bike socks and a tote bag will be raffled every 30 minutes - must be present to win.

A mechanic will be on duty if your bike needs a post-bike month tune up.   (See below for Electric Bike Demos!)

June 2 is "First Friday Date Night" in Folsom's Historic District so plan to valet park your bike with us and explore Sutter Street for great food and unique shopping!

Demo an electric bike Friday night!

Folsom's newest bike shop, Practical Cycle, will be joining us at the Pedal Stop on Friday night, 6:30 - 8 p.m. to give everyone a chance to test drive an electric bike. Drop by and see just how easy it is to tackle a hill with an little battery assistance.

GEI Consultants raising money for bike racks GEI Consultants in Rancho Cordova teamed up with Leadership Rancho Cordova for a community bike rack project intended to enhance public spaces with artfully designed bike racks that are practical but also capture the spirit of Rancho Cordova's proud history. Local artist Gina Rossi   will be working with the welding students at Kinney High School to construct the bike racks.  GEI borrowed the 50 Corridor TMA's bike blender last week for a "Salsa Taste Off and Social Hour" fundraiser.  As a result, GEI raised enough money to co-sponsor the bike rack that will be placed at Village Greek Park.

VSP Global sees the value of the bicycle!
Commuters at VSP Global in Rancho Cordova have a very visible reminder that this is Bike Month!  This bike sculpture is on display in the VSP lobby all month, thanks to VSP cycling champion Ronnie Fortes.  Ronnie's father crafted the sculpture as a gift in recognition of Ronnie's devotion to cycling.  VSP plans to recognize its bike month participants with an ice cream party on Friday.  With almost 400 miles logged to date, Ronnie is sure to be among the participants who will be congratulated for meeting his goal.
