 Exclusive "Insider" Content

As an email subscriber. you will receive audio or video content each newsletter by way of an unlisted (not searchable) link. These are not intended for public postings, so please do not share on social media

This month I will begin sharing a series of pandemic era Facebook livestream videos. The "Escape, From Home Piano Hour" was the continuation of the "DYI Piano Hour" that I livestreamed on the Mainstay Facebook page for the initial weeks of the pandemic, backing them up using a camcorder (you will see the phone camera capturing the livestream in these videos). This series was later moved to YouTube, becoming "Piano For My Friends",

Hope you enjoy the Escape, From Home Piano Hour, from 6/30/2020. .

I'll be doing the accompanying ;)

On Friday, April 17, I had a wonderful evening with Ronda Apple and Kiara Vos at the Mainstay, for my Special Fridays series. Unfortunately, there was an audio issue with the livestream audio, which was paid a visit by the Rice Krispies boys (Snap, Crackle and Pop). With apologies for the annoying background noise, here is the archived livestream video from the show.

My "Special Fridays" series at The Mainstay continues on Friday June 26,

with a solo piano "Unsupervised" show

New YouTube video

Ain't Misbehavin' - solo piano

Performed as a solo feature in a 2 piano concert with Robert Redd. Though I already have several posts of this tune, this one seemed to effectively connect, so I wanted to share it.

And it just happened to work out that the camera angle could find a straight line to crop out whoever was sitting at this piano. Not so much the other one. Oh well, glad to have this.

BTW, Robert Redd and I have another 2 piano concert at The Mainstay, in Rock Hall, MD, on Fri, August 21, 2026. Perhaps you can come and see us. :)

When You Wish Upon a Star - solo piano

Came across a video file from a retirement community concert 10 years ago (March 19, 2016) and figured - Why not post this song? So I did :)

From the Video Archive

Honeysuckle Rose - solo piano

Performed at the Cabaret at Germano's, in Baltimore, MD, on 3/9/11

New From the Journal

"Here is there,

When is where,

Space and time are intertwined.

How we seek and what we find,

Are subject to interpretation,

In out heart and in our mind,

Which also can be intertwined,

If we're inclined to notice.

In the vast expanse,

The stars align to form their patterns,

They speak to us of what we know,

And of what we don't,

Until we do,

Or begin to...."
