May Legislative Briefing Recap

On Friday, May 9th, members of the California Housing Partnership's advocacy and research teams convened in Sacramento to brief legislative staff on the state of affordable housing production and preservation. Using the insights surfaced in our 2025 Housing Needs and At-Risk Reports, the group covered the most pressing recommendations for this budget and legislative season, including protection of cap and trade revenues for the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities Program and advancing the $10 billion affordable housing bond (AB 736/SB 417).
