New Around Town
Two Trails
A new Kids in Parks TRACK Trail now connects Chetola Resort more directly with Bass Lake. This easy 1.8 mile path is made especially for families, with four adventures available! The Chetola Resort Bass Lake Trail begins near the tennis courts inside the resort, and is fully open to the public. Learn more about Kids in Parks here!
The Robbins Ridge Trail is a new addition at the Blowing Rock Attraction. The walk descends into the gorge below the Rock, opening a path recently only available to bears, deer, and other wildlife. With 164 steps down the boardwalk and some 100 foot drops off the side, it's a thrilling addition to the paths at the Rock. Opens May 6th. See more about The Blowing Rock here.
Blue Deer on Main
This shop, featuring ice cream cookie sandwiches, has become a local staple! First operating from a cute retro camper between Blowing Rock and Boone, Blue Deer has expanded with two new locations. One is opening on Main Street in Blowing Rock on April 30!

The Bee & The Boxwood
New on Main Street, this shop is a second location for The Bee & The Boxwood. Find a curated collection of beautiful gifts and home accessories all chosen with the charm and warmth of the Southern lifestyle in mind.

High Country Herbs
High Country Herbs started as a small farm with a primary focus on basil. Additions included a variety of vegetables, chickens, pigs, and goats until eventually finding their groove being one of the first industrial hemp growers in Western NC. The new shop at Tanger Outlets offers their products, as well as fresh items from other farms.

The Manor
This long-anticipated property is now taking reservations! Located on the corner of West Cornish and Main, this 20-room luxury hotel feels tucked away, while being just a short walk to the downtown hub of shopping and dining.

Take a Look
The Art of the Village
In addition to numerous galleries and the first-class Blowing Rock Art & History Museum, Blowing Rock is home to a growing collection of art that can be enjoyed by strolling through town. Some of these are part of a public collection, but many are privately owned and displayed in locations like gardens, hotels and restaurants. See conceptual and portrait sculpture, outdoor murals, carvings, and paintings on a self-guided tour.
