Celebrating and Building Awareness this International Day for Biological Diversity
|
In December 2000, the UN General Assembly proclaimed May 22nd as The International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB) to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues.
This year's theme is "Building a shared future for all life," It seeks to underscore the importance of protecting global biodiversity and the biological resources that shape our environment. The plants, animals, and microorganisms that make up the ecosystems of our planet are at the core of achieving a sustainable future for all life.
How You Can Participate
1) Spreading the Word
Celebrate biodiversity and raise awareness by sharing this newsletter with friends and family. Talk about what this global movement is all about.
2) Donating to Our Cause
Help us continue fulfilling our mission by joining our Monthly Donor Club or making a one-time donation. Your donation provides a consistent source of funding to support our animal residents and the wildlife under our care.
