A reflection for today: A resident with Family Promise Montco PA shared this message with their team. She said that writing helps her overcome her stress and anxiety, and she hopes that her poetry can inspire others. We hope that her words below will lift you up and inspire you!

Please continue to keep us informed of what's happening with you in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. The information here comes from you, with links to our website for more complete information and resources. Send your events and updates to Kristyn: [email protected]. Thank you!

Strong

Sometimes we see ourselves as failing.
When in reality we are just learning.
You have to learn to hold on and be strong.
Think positive and bring it on.

Show the world how strong you are.
Be the light of a shooting star.
Don't let anything bring you down.
Tell yourself you're not lost but you are found.
Tell yourself you're strong and fierce.
No one can touch you or come near.
Be that strong person you were meant to be.
Through your eyes and God's eyes you will see.

Be strong and never stop being great.
Open your beautiful eyes and have faith.
Be strong my love, you're so true.
Remember no one is strong and made like you.
Coming up with the Collaborative!

Jefferson Health is pleased to announce that they have joined The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) and Gift of Life Donor Program as a hospital partner in HAP’s Donate Life Hospital Challenge to educate hospital communities on the critical need for more organ, tissue, and cornea donors and to encourage individuals to register as donors.

On average, 17 people die each day in the United States because the need for organs far exceeds the current number of available life-saving gifts. The lack of available organs for transplant is an urgent public health issue. As a partner in this initiative, Jefferson Health is encouraging the community to get involved, and join the Gift of Life Donor Program.

If you are interested in learning more, please visit the Gift of Life Donor Program website or contact Marianna Calabrese. Thank you to Jefferson Health for sharing this need with all of us, and providing opportunities for all to get involved and help save lives!

Podcasts

Thank you to CTIPP for sharing these two podcasts and additional resources!

Listen: Trauma-Informed Workplaces with Sandra L. Bloom, M.D., CTIPP Board Chair, and Founder of Creating PRESENCE. What does it mean to be “trauma-informed,” and why should organizations make their workplace more trauma-informed? How can it improve a team member’s (and the organization’s) well-being, safety, productivity, fulfillment, and growth? They aim to answer these questions and more in this podcast episode of #TransformTrauma.

Listen: CTIPP’s Jesse Kohler and Whitney Marris on Essential Conversations. Belonging is not automatically experienced, no matter how lofty our goals or mission, and that creating true inclusion for everyone, at every level, IS the work of transformation. How do we shift our mindset shifts and take practical action to transform our distress over the world as-it-is into courage and agency to co-create the world as we dream it can be?
Surveys
Attention all Montgomery County landlords and property managers! Your Way Home (YWH) invites you to participate in their 2023 Annual Landlord Feedback Survey. In order to help YWH review and continuously improve services, they need your feedback!

YWH would like to hear from landlords about what incentives, trainings, meetings, or features would help maintain or develop positive working relationships with all YWH providers. The survey will take 5 minutes. Please complete the survey by May 28, 2023. Thank you for your feedback and participation!
