Letter from the FACC-PNW Directors
Please Join Us at the Annual Meeting on May 28
Dear Members of the FACC-PNW Community,
We want to thank you all for your ongoing support during these trying times. Although our physical office is closed for the time being, we continue to serve our members and to our local French-American business community through email, phone, social media and videoconferencing.
We invite our members to join us for our virtual Annual Meeting on May 28 th at 8:00 AM. The Annual Meeting is an opportunity for our Board to report back to our community on our activities and financials over the last year. It will also be the occasion for our Board to appoint new members. This year, we will welcome Jean-Michel Hillion, Corporate Senior VP, BOEING Programs, SAFRAN/CFM, as our keynote speaker . Please register online to join us for this important presentation.
We continue to innovate to bring you relevant programming. In collaboration with other FACCs across the USA, you can enjoy thematic webinars open to all members . We have also fully transitioned our Aerospace , Education , and Le Networking Committees to virtual groups. The best way to keep up-to-date on the latest opportunities for our members is to follow us on social media like Facebook or LinkedIn , check our website , and continue to subscribe to this newsletter. 
This crisis has brought both challenges and opportunity. We have been honored to see your stories of perseverance and generosity, and to share those stories along with other resources on our News page . Today more than ever, our mission to develop and improve economic relations resonates. For those who are able, we ask you to please make sure your membership fees are up to date so we can continue this important work.

Le Networking Committee: A Conversation with Aline Bloch on Low Impact Lifestyle and Bonus Workshop
FREE EVENT. Wednesday May 20, 2020
from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Join us for this virtual event to gain resources and insights on ways to live an intentional life with a green mindset . Through this conversation with Aline Bloch and a merrymaking workshop at the end, you can learn how to renew your priorities and perspectives, and find out the best ways to simplify your home and your life.

LE MAG' FR@NCOPHONE #14 - Spring 2020
It seems time has slowed down the last few weeks. It is in this environment that Made in France continues its journey despite being unable to meet and share their passion for the French language and culture. 

Made in France is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and vibrant community guided by the belief that language, art and culture are powerfully interconnected. Their magazine - le Mag’ fr@ncophone - keeps expanding. The Spring issue was released a few days ago. To follow their activities and events it is simple:  subscribe  for free to le Mag’ fr@ncophone.

Les Rencontres de l'Alliance
The Alliance Française de Seattle is thrilled to announce the launch of its latest online program  Les Rencontres de l’Alliance . This curated offering of short video conferences will feature guest speakers from various backgrounds with connections to the Francophone world and AFSeattle, and aims at keeping our community engaged, curious, and connected.

Guests will talk about their work, their passion, or their specialization for 15 minutes in an online conference setting, followed by a 15-min Q&A moderated by the AFSeattle staff. Guest speakers invited this Spring include the photographer Michael Sobel, the Consul General of France in San Francisco, Emmanuel Lebrun-Damiens, the director of the Northwest Film Forum, Vivian Hua, and the director of the Maryhill Museum of Art, Colleen Schafroth. Join NSFS for Bilingual Learning Online!
North Seattle French School continues to offer bilingual education via distance learning for students from preschool to 5th grade. As a small and dedicated team, they pivoted quickly and adapted flexibly to this new learning style. NSFS invites you to join them for bilingual online learning for the remainder of the 2019 -2020 school year.
For the cost of prorated tuition, families who enroll will have access to their preschool and elementary curriculum, which includes daily synchronous learning and instruction over video chat, several hours of daily asynchronous assignments with teacher assessment and feedback, access to their library of French read-alouds, and access to arts and music content created by NSFS teacher artists.

Join the High-Tech and Innovation Organizing Committee
We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about the High-Tech industry to help organize High-Tech and Innovation Committee meetings. Previous events included an AI Conference with SKEMA Business School , and an introduction to NonLinear Materials Corporation's Fiber-optic Tech . Contact to learn more.

L'Etoile French Immersion School - French Teacher Full-time
L’Etoile French Immersion School is hiring a full-time French Teacher for the 2020-21 school year. L’Etoile is a private school in John’s Landing that offers preschool through 5 th grade in a personalized, multi-cultural setting. Coursework is predominantly taught in French, but blocks of time are dedicated to the development of English reading and writing skills. Class sizes are limited to 20 students, but generally range from 15-18.

University of Washington - French Lecturer Part-time Temporary
The Department of French and Italian Studies at the University of Washington invites applications for possible  Lecturer Part-Time – Temporary  positions should vacancies appear during the 2020/2021 academic year.

Appointments will vary in percentage of time and will range from one quarter to one year with the limited possibility of reappointment dependent on performance, departmental need, and funding. Learn more or contact .
