Tampa City Council public hearings resume in June
The Tampa City Council has scheduled public hearings in June to consider the dozens of projects that normally would have been brought to City Council since their closure in early March. Quasi-judicial and Plan Amendment hearings will be held every Thursday night in June (4, 11, 18, 25) and Tuesday afternoon, June 23. The meetings will be held at the Tampa Convention Center to allow applicants and the public to attend while following social distancing guidelines.
Public Comment period open for TBARTA transit plan

It provides both a 10-year plan for regional transit service covering fiscal years 2021-2030, as well as a longer-term vision for a world-class regional transit service connecting Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, and Manatee counties.
Envision 2030 information, including the   Executive Summary Draft and   Regional Transit Development Plan Draft can be found on the Envision 2030 page at TBARTA.com, along with a form to submit comments.
Love to Ride in May for National Bike Month
The Westshore Alliance is a proud supporter of Bike/Walk Tampa Bay (BWTB), a regional coalition created to promote safe walking and bicycling as preferred modes of transportation.

This May, BWTB is partnering with Love to Ride to host the National Bike Challenge, a fun campaign to help inspire people to ride bikes. Participation is FREE and includes opportunities for team-building, fun competitions, and prize drawings for your staff who join in. Indoor and outdoor rides count, so you can socially distance and still log your miles. It is a great way to get people riding and provide recognition for your business! I-275 Operational Improvements project progressing toward early completion
The $31 million project designed to provide congestion relief in the Westshore area by adding lanes to I-275 and several interchange ramps is making great progress during this period of unprecedented low traffic volumes. Essential, critical work has been taking place, including expanding the northbound I-275 bridges over SR 60 and West Shore Boulevard.  Lane widening is taking place in several project areas - but is most noticeable in the section between the Howard Frankland Bridge and SR 60. All the operational improvements included in the project are expected to finish ahead-of-schedule, likely this summer.

For more information on this I-275 improvement project between the Howard Frankland Bridge and Lois Avenue, visit FDOT's project page.
