Discover Nantes & The Pays de la Loire Region:
Explore Local Industry in Seattle's Sister City
The FACC-PNW and the WA State Department of Commerce invite you to travel to Nantes and the Pays de la Loire Region to learn more about the local industries.

Situated on the Loire River only 50km from the Atlantic coast, Nantes is a green wonder of western France. Participants will learn about the area's historic shipbuilding past and discover the aerospace, life sciences, and maritime innovations taking place in the region. See how this industrial city has progressed into the future with strong advances in green living, leading Time Magazine to name it ‘the most livable city in Europe.'

Groups will stay in Nantes for three to four nights from June 11-15. Confirmed site visits include SpiritAero Systems and Europe Technologies (GEBE2) . The City of Nantes will host a welcome dinner for the delegation; at the end of the week attendees will take an excursion to Le Mans and be VIPs at the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans race .

For only $30, you will get 6 books to keep for up to 90 days, a free tote bag, activities to support reading for fun over the summer and a chance to win prizes. Books are shipped to your home, together with a mailer with pre-paid return postage to return the books.

Support for Notre-Dame de Paris
Donating to Reconstruction
On April 15, we were united in heartbreak as Notre-Dame de Paris suffered a devastating fire. Today, we find solace in overwhelming messages of support and the invigorating movement to rebuild this iconic monument at the heart of France.
As French citizens, francophone professionals and francophiles, we are united by common values, mutual understanding & joint goals. With its intricate facades and precious works of art, Notre-Dame de Paris stands tall as a testament to Paris’ history, resilience and attractiveness. We have received several requests from those who share our love of Notre-Dame de Paris asking how to help.

For American citizens who wish to contribute to the rebuilding effort, you can donate to " Friends of Notre-Dame de Paris " online, a licensed 501(c)(3) in the U.S. Donations may also be made through the official website of the French Centre des Monuments Nationaux May the Grande Dame of Paris shine brightly once again.
