Private sector leaders in California are stepping up to build a more water-resilient future. From stormwater capture to ecosystem restoration, the California Water Resilience Initiative (CWRI), managed by the Pacific Institute, is proof that public-private partnerships work. CWRI is part of the global Water Resilience Coalition, which aims to engage the private sector to take collective action in 100 Priority Basins by 2030.
Jason Morrison, President & CEO of Pacific Institute, recently authored an op-ed in the Sacramento Bee with Emilio Tenuta of Ecolab, showcasing how the CWRI is driving meaningful, measurable impact. In California, CWRI aims to reduce, reuse, and restore one million acre-feet of water annually by 2030.

The Pacific Institute is seeking an experienced, business-oriented CEO to lead the Water Resilience Coalition (WRC)—a flagship global initiative mobilizing corporate action on water security and resilience.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of water stewardship at the highest levels. The CEO will work directly with executive leadership from global corporations, scale collective action, and drive impact across high-priority river basins worldwide.
By 2030, the Coalition aims to unite a critical mass of companies to build water resilience in their operations and supply chains, while also investing in collective action to improve water resilience in 100 Priority Basins, the most water-stressed basins in the world.
