Pedestrian, Bike Improvements Coming Soon
For everyone disappointed about the Brazos Greenway project, there is a silver lining. City staff worked diligently to find an opportunity to improve the Bagby/Smith/Holman intersection underneath for bicyclists and pedestrians. Look for these improvements in the coming months!

School Zone Speeds by Design
A new street configuration on La Branch St. next to MacGregor Elementary School slows vehicles down and creates a more comfortable experience for all road users. Some of Harris County Precinct 1's improvements include:
  • Southbound bike lane protected by parked cars and rubber flex posts;
  • New sidewalk ramps and wider, more visible crosswalks; and
  • A curved vehicle lane to calm speeding traffic.
Hutchins & Cleburne Streets Complete
High-comfort bikeways are now complete at Hutchins and Cleburne Street. Take a ride today!
