May 2024 News: That's a Wrap!

The school year is coming to a close! We're so proud of the impact we've had this year, especially with the expansion of our Intensive Arts Integration Project to include 7 classrooms between Paul L. Dunbar Arts Enrichment Academy and Wilbur Wright PK-8.

Each of these classrooms had 30-45 hours of exciting, multi-layered lessons with an artist-educator from our team. Various arts disciplines were utilized to boost students' understanding of science, math, language arts, social studies, and more. Check out some of the projects from this new approach below!

We are beyond thrilled to continue building this program next year with help from a $25,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Family Fun at Dunbar

Earlier this month, Dunbar hosted a "Spring into STEAM" event to celebrate and showcase students' Arts Impact projects.

Family members in attendance were amazed by their young scholars' accomplishments! We overheard things like:

  • I love all of the art.
  • My son is learning and remembering his vocabulary words because of this project.
  • I love Arts Impact!
  • You do such incredible work with our scholars.
