Thank You Volunteers!
There has been some major improvements at the museum, all of which has been great appreciated by all! We want to especially thank the Estrella Warbirds Museum Middle & High School Aviation Club for the fantastic work they did in hosting a spring "Jet Wash" for many of the aircraft that have been on display, some gathering a bit of dirt and dust during the past winter! Thanks for the spruce up! You can find more pictures posted on our FaceBook page, Instagram, and also on our website news page.
We're Looking for Someone Special!
Do you love taking pictures as a hobby? We can use your talents. If you volunteer at the museum or are out and about at the museum frequently, we can use someone to take pictures of everyday life at the museum, artifacts, or special events. You don't need a special camera, and you don't need any special photo editing software. You will need to be familiar with posting to social media or sending pics via email to both the Eagle Newsletter and this online edition. This is a volunteer position. If interested, please send us a note at this link or talk to Ken Neuman at the museum. Thanks for your willingness to help our our non profit organization.

Woodland Auto Racing Team

We, meaning mostly Alex, Robert Woodland and Jerry Jones, have been working offsite on wrapping up the restoration of our 1963 Corvette,"Split Window". I'm sure Claudia Woodland will put a few miles on it before it sees the Woodland Auto Display (WAD) building.
Also, just finished, is the early built 1964 1/2 Mustang convertible. This one has the 260 cu in V-8 while the 289 cu in engine wasn't used until Aug of 1964. (While all were designated 1965 model year, the early built models became known as 1964 1/2 models.) This car will be moved in this week to replace the blue 1965 mustang which will be undergoing some TLC.
On 4/23 we hosted a tour of the (WAD) building for a vintage motorcycle group. This was organized by EWM/WAD supporter, Mike Madden, who has one of his extremely rare Crocker motorcycles on display at the WAD building. This group was riding vintage Indian, Henderson, Harley Davidson and Crocker motorcycles.
WAD cosponsors 3 different oval track open wheel racing series on the west coast. Saturday evening on the Flo channel, seven time USAC/CRA Sprint Car racing champion, Damion Gardner, gave a fantastic and lengthy interview regarding the Estrella Warbird Museum/Woodland Auto Display. This was broadcast nationally.
The 8-Ball Modified which was displayed at the annual Legends of Kearney Bowl gathering on 4/24 in Caruthers, Calif.. While there, we were approached regarding a Corvette Club from Fresno touring EWM/WAD in the near future.
Other than the above, Alex continues his restoration of our 1953 Singer as well as the 1951 Austin fire truck.
Lastly, Alex and Robert completed work on our 1970 Chevrolet C-30 ramp truck which is a show piece in itself.
