Precast parade float structure on a flatbed truck

  • Oldcastle Precast Littleton, Colorado participated in this year's 55th St. Patrick's Day parade, on March 11th, in Denver. The parade is one of the largest St. Patrick's Day parades in the nation, averaging over 3 hours, with over 35,000 onlookers on the route.
  •  "As we maneuvered through downtown, in our bright green Oldcastle Precast St. Patrick's Day T-shirts, we handed out candy and beads to the onlookers. Seeing the joyful faces of the children and adults was priceless," said Lyle Weisbeck, Oldcastle Precast Plant Manager.
  • Safety awareness was essential in the construction of the Littleton float. The Littleton fabrication shop made custom built trailer hand rails for the float and a stand down safety talk was given by truck driver Mike Switzer, before the parade started.
