Empowering Women for More Than 50 years

Igniting Hope: 50 Years of Resilience

On May 28, we will gather at The Reach Gallery to celebrate a remarkable milestone: 50 years of SARA for Women. What began as a small group of dedicated individuals advocating for women’s safety has grown into a trusted organization that now provides safe housing, outreach, trauma-informed care, and essential resources for hundreds of women and children across the Fraser Valley each year.

SARA Limited Edition Greeting Cards

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, SARA for Women has introduced a collection of greeting cards facilitated by local artist Linda Klippenstein and created with the help of children living in its housing and support programs.

💡Did You Know.....SARA for Women was originally founded 50 years ago under the name FRONYA. It later became known as The Fraser Valley Women’s Resource Society, a name it held until 2016. That year, the organization rebranded as SARA for Women – which stands for Support, Acceptance, Resources, and Action.

Give the Gift of Your Time: Volunteer at FRONYA This Spring
