The Gwinnett County Public Library's (GCPL) Duluth branch has relocated to 3180 Main Street in downtown Duluth across from City Hall. At about 22,000 square feet, the new building is twice the size of the old library. When it opens in Spring, it will feature dedicated spaces for children and teens, digital media production, and a makerspace. It will include a meeting room with seating for up to 120 people and multiple group study rooms. An observation beehive will allow observers to see the honey bee carrying out its daily operations like honey production and colony organization.
GCPL is grateful for all who have contributed to the new building features, including: Kids R Kids, Rotary of Duluth, the Primerica Foundation, and the McKinney Geib Foundation.
