FARMER'S MARKET @ OREM COMMUNITY HOSPITAL
For the last couple of years Orem Community Hospital has been operating a wildly-successful community garden.  Last year they hosted a "Harvest Festival" of sorts that had a great attendance, despite the rain.

This year they plan to take it a step further and create a "true" farmer's market that will feature homegrown/homemade natural food.  We are still working through the details of the event but are confident it will be another success. Please mark your calendars and stay posted for additional information!

When: Every Monday Evening in September (5 PM til dark)
Where: Orem Community Hospital (adjacent to the community garden)
SPRING CLEAN UP (APRIL - MAY 2017)

The Spring Clean-Up is in full swing and has or will come to a park near you!  If the week the dumpsters are closest to you doesn't work for your schedule, don't sweat, you can drop off at ANY LOCATION in the city!

Dumpsters are available 7 AM - 7 PM each day.

MAYOR'S MESSAGE:
THE HOT DOGS ARE ALL GONE

My wife came home on Saturday and told me that the hot dogs were all gone at the clean up event she attended.  She along with many of the City Council attended the neighborhood Picnic at the community park in the Sunset Heights East neighborhood and helped to serve up the food. I was unable to attend due to my commitment as a party delegate at county meeting.

She said that it seemed like all of Southwest Orem came out to the event, it was so well attended.  It is a wonderful event and time to have all of the neighbors in that area spend time cleaning up their neighborhood and then enjoy getting together at the picnic.

As I have driven around the city the last few Saturdays, I have noticed how many dumpsters are being filled and refilled at the city drop off points for waste and clean up materials. It is great to see the residents of the city work hard to clean up their homes, their yards, and the city streets. It shows a real sense of community pride in how our parts of the city look.

Orem is a beautiful city.  We have city parks by almost every public school. Our city center park, outdoor amphitheater, and all together playground are great places to enjoy the summer months.  The city's Timpanogos park up the canyon is a real jewel to enjoy. The large Lakeside Park is great for soccer and baseball games.  I thank our city public works staff for taking such great care of our parks and keeping them so green and the lawns in such excellent condition.

The beautiful tree lined streets and well kept homes in our city make our community a great place to live.

I am proud of and thank all those who work so hard to beautify their homes and their neighborhoods. Orem is a wonderful place to be part of and enjoy.
