What do you like best about WII?

I love how the women that I know, both from the past W.I.S.E. group and present WII group, are ‘cheering each other on’ from afar. Whether it is through calls, seeing each other at events, or commenting on LinkedIn posts, I can feel their support. It gives me confidence to continue to advocate for women at NetPlus and throughout the industry...

WII Mission Revisited + Pillars of Focus

In March, the WII Leadership Team met at a retreat hosted by 3M in Minneapolis to strategize short and long-term goals, define focus areas, and outline action items to advance WII's mission: Advancing the development, influence, and inclusion of women within the industrial channel.

The WII Leadership Committee identified three core pillars to support our mission:

  • Education: Empowering WII members with opportunities for personal growth and career advancement.
  • Advocacy: Amplifying the voices of women in the industrial channel by advocating for inclusion and diversity.
  • Connection: Cultivating a robust network for women in the industrial channel by fostering a supportive environment for mentorship, mutual growth, and success.

To strengthen our mission and emphasize our industry focus, the WII Leadership Team incorporated a new tagline into our logo: "Advancing Women in the Industrial Channel."

Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day

April 25 was "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day" and serves as a significant opportunity to empower and inspire the next generation, especially girls, towards diverse career paths, including those traditionally dominated by men. By exposing children to real-world work environments and showcasing the contributions of women in various industries, this day not only aims to bridge the gender gap but also encourages young girls to aspire for leadership roles in fields where they're underrepresented.

It helps instill early on the importance of gender equality and diversity in the workplace, paving the way for a more inclusive and balanced future workforce. Did you take your kid to work? If so, share pics with us!
