May is Mental Health Awareness Month!

On May 1, First 5 Amador kicked off Mental Health Awareness Month with a stress reduction event at Health and Human Services to recognize and thank community service providers for their important roles in supporting families in Amador County.  

Following that event, First 5 Amador hosted a similar event to acknowledge the dedicated early learning providers (child care and preschool) caring for our community's children.

Resources were available at both events for attendees to use themselves or to share with staff, clients and the community. Thank you to our county's service providers and early childhood educators for the valuable work you do each and every day.

Quality for Kids is a multi-agency, county wide incentive program for Amador County child care providers. To qualify you must currently be working with children that are not your own in Amador County.

This includes Preschool Teachers, Family Child Care Homes (FCC), Licensed Child Care Centers and their Teachers, Licensed-Exempt Providers, Family, Friends or Neighbors (FFN), etc.
