Creating the Best Data Center Strategy
The volume of data generated today is growing at an astonishing rate, and demand for data center space has reached an all-time high, consistently outpacing supply in the top markets. Many organizations are struggling to develop effective data center strategies, frequently facing the familiar question: build or lease?

Parallel Technologies recently completed a large job for a major medical device manufacturer in Tokyo, Japan. Parallel Technologies aided in the design and deployment of the network infrastructure used in their new colocation site. While working alongside the delivery group, they managed to meet expectations and timelines to deliver a complex project abroad. They  completed the job with enough time to do some exploring in Japan, and these are the pictures of their exciting voyage!
Best Practice for Moving IT Equiptment
There are multiple reasons why companies decide to move from company-owned data centers to colocation data centers. Regardless of the reason, after deciding to "go colo," the question, "how do we relocate all of our equipment with minimal downtime for our business?" may come to mind. The answer can seem daunting because relocating IT equipment can be complex and overwhelming.
Successfully relocating equipment is not something that can be rushed into; it is a deliberate and methodical process where the "devil really is in the details." A lack of attention in one area can cause rippling effects across the project. If you're planning to move to a colocation data center, follow these five best practices to ensure a smooth transition.

PTI's Tim Kittila Interview in the StarTribune
Q: What do you like about working in this industry?
A: I love that I can help a client that builds a medical device that goes in a person's body and saves their life and know that I worked on that data center to help that company succeed. ... I love the people I work with, the dynamic nature of the data center and getting to be part of multiple companies' visions.
