Ish Aimed
Many in my family confound me.
They believe I can be quite beguile-ish.
I bamboozle the people around me.
With a swagger that some say is style-ish.
Seems my manners are misunderstood.
I can change my appearance reptile-ish.
Cold-blooded but a very warm heart.
Confused but it’s me all the while-ish.
I have suspicious concerns for all others.
Sometimes they do seem unrely-ish
In my defense I’m quite kind inside.
Blame my crabbiness on my senile -ish.
Take me as I am and no more.
I won’t change the fact that I’m smile-ish.
For the past is “my past” now, I’m old.
And my history is worn out and mile-ish.
Yes, my age is winning the race.
There’s little time left in my file-ish.
If I tell you it doesn’t bother me.
That’s because I am in deep denial-ish.
