SUMMER BOATING SEASON

KICKS INTO HIGH GEAR

We hope everyone had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend. The Intrepid family is grateful for the opportunity to salute all those who made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our country’s precious freedoms.

Now that the summer season is underway, many members of the Intrepid Nation who live up north are breaking their boats out of storage and getting them back out on the water.

If you’re discovering a need for a part or some maintenance, feel free to contact us for assistance at CustomerCare@IntrepidPowerboats.com or Support@IntrepidPowerBoats.com

We are glad to help so you can get back to enjoying your Intrepid as quickly as possible.

You might also need a bit of a refresher on your boat’s systems and technologies after inactivity over the winter months. Our Owner’s Manual videos are always available online with useful information on each of our models. Click below to check out our Owner's Manual videos for your model.

51 PANACEA AND FACTORY UPDATES

There is always something new and exciting happening at the Intrepid

production facility. For example, we’re already building our third 51 Panacea!

The prototype for the 51 Panacea has traveled to boat shows, appeared in videos and brochures, been reviewed by top boating magazines, and undergone sea trails with customers who have given it an enthusiastic reception. If you’re interested in owning the very first of this impressive new model, contact Alex Rizo, vice president of sales, at ARizo@IntrepidPowerboats.com or meet him at our Dania office for more information.

If you’re following us on social media, you also know that we have a brand-new five-axis machine that allows us to build boats with increased innovation and precision. It took over a year for this machine to be created and we had extensive foundation work done to support its significant weight. It’s just one more way Intrepid does what it takes to keep elevating all that we do to the next level.

LOOKING FORWARD TO THE

OWNERS RENDEZVOUS

We had a tremendous time at the recent SoFlo Boat Show, and want to thank everyone who came to see us at Miami Marine Stadium. Now, preparations are underway to our next event – the Owners Rendezvous.

In about a month and a half, we’ll be gathering at Ocean Reef Club for fun, relaxation and the best that the boating life has to offer. We’re eager to connect with the Intrepid Nation at this great event in the Florida Keys. In the meantime, we hope everyone has a safe and sensational boating season!

MARKET REPORT

A GREAT MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

There were plenty of sunny skies and calm waters, so I trust that everyone enjoyed their favorite boating activities over the Memorial Weekend. It’s always a great opportunity to spend time with loved ones, and honor all those who have sacrificed their lives in service to their country in the United States armed forces.

GETTING READY TO RENDEZVOUS

The Intrepid team is hard at work to make this year’s Owners Rendezvous the best one yet. In addition to the boating, golf, recreation and accommodations of Ocean Reef Club, attendees will enjoy four days of special parties, entertainment, activities, celebrations and much much more. FEATURED MODEL

375 NOMAD FE & SE

Length 37' 6" | Beam 10' 6"

Available Fuel Capacity 406 Gallons | Water 40 Gallons

One of our current best sellers for more reasons than one, the 375 Nomad is an amazing all-around boat. Not too big, not to small. The perfect option in a center console for the South Florida boater, especially in the Florida Keys.

With two consoles to choose from, the SE (Side Entry) features a full-height glass windshield with wiper for protection from the elements, and a head designed with a convenient side entry. The FE (Front Entry) is equipped with many of the same impressive features with a front entry to the head and includes the more traditional fiberglass hardtop with aluminum T-top.

The helm seat stations on either model can be customized any way you wish, with your choice of refrigerators, drawers, an ice maker, and a tackle station. Luxurious seating configurations include a hi/lo actuating table that can sit flush with the cockpit sole, rise to become a filler for the forward seating or to table height when it’s time to dine or entertain. Whichever model you choose, you’ll be ready to fish, dive or cruise your favorite waters like never before.

BUSY DAYS AND WATERWAYS

May has been a busy month for me. Mike Plante and I worked on recording a video owner’s manual of the new 51 Panacea at the beginning of the month. We created the first of these manuals at the end of 2017, and they’ve been popular with our customers ever since then. Mike does a great job of putting these together, so I look forward to our release of this latest one in early summer.

A few days after finishing the video work my wife and I took a long-planned river cruise to various ports in Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany. It was great to see the waterways and maritime scene in Europe. Without water management in the Netherlands, almost half of that country would be under water, so it was enlightening for me to be able to see how the Dutch manage water levels in their country. I learned that windmills are much more than just picturesque backdrops for pictures that tourists take!

SUMMER PLANNING AND SAFETY

This past Memorial Day weekend was the unofficial start of summer, so it’s time to finalize plans for your upcoming season of boating activities. A lot of the popular destinations are booked months, or even years, ahead of time so it's best to make reservations as far in advance as possible. We have a good network of friends in the boating industry throughout the country, so let me know if there is anything we can do to make your plans more enjoyable.

National Safe Boating Week was earlier this month. This is a good reminder to always make safety on the water a priority. There's nothing more important than having everyone on board feel secure and comfortable. The checklist below is a link to more information from the National Safe Boating Council. There’s lots of good information at this website so please review and use it in concert with your trip planning.

Best wishes to everyone for a wonderful start to the summer. Be safe out on the water. Keep in touch and stop by if you have a moment in Tampa Bay.

Happy Boating,
Joe
