The Camden Collaborative 

The Camden Family Connection Collaborative is made up of community stakeholders with a vested interest in improving the lives of Camden's children and families. 
A monthly meeting is held every  3rd Thursday 
at 10am. Approximately 30-50 representatives from local government, non-profit agencies, and civic organizations are in attendance.

Gateway Mental Health Awareness Event
Gateway Behavioral Health is hosting a Children's Mental Health Awareness Month on May 14, 2019 from 3pm-5pm.  See the flyer for more information. 
E mpowerU! Advocating Invasive Species Management
Camden County Extension Office is offering a 4 week course where you can learn how to work with decision makers, influence management decisions and stop the spread of invasive species!   

Jobs! Jobs! Jobs!
Worksource Georgia is looking for young adults ages 17-24 who are looking for career paths and to obtain employment. All applicants must have a High Scool Diploma or GED.  If interested, please see the flyer.
Volunteers needed!!  
Camden County Head Start Center is looking for volunteers to support their Free Summer Lunch Program.  The program runs May 27 - July 22, 2019. If you can help, please see the attached flyer.
Spring into Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia is registering new applicants in all their programs.  Contact Heather Wilson at and take advantage of the $35 extended year membership fee.     
Hearts of Benevolence
The Hearts of Benevolence, a Camden County nonprofit organization, is looking for sponsors for their 3rd annual "Rock the Books" festival. The festival will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019. Please see the attached flyer if you would like to partner in making this event to promote literacy.
Kings Bay Teen Program

The Teen Program is open to ALL teens in the public. 13-18 yrs. old- As long as individuals are still in High School. Programming is provided through partnerships with the Boys and Girls Club of America and Georgia 4-H.Transportation is provided from the HS to Kings Bay. Hours are 3-7 pm. Camden Community  Resource Directory

An online Resource Directory is currently be developed through a partnership between the Camden County Board of Commissioners (CCBC), Camden Family Connection, and Georgia Center for Non-Profits (GCN). 

Camden Family Connection has agreed to provide and maintain a database of resources available to all Camden Citizens. The database started in partnership with GCN will be utilized to compile needed partner information for the resource page. We will also continue to use this to track possible service duplications, gaps, and strains.

Dr. Sheila Sapp, a member of Camden  Family Connection Board of Directors, received Training for Trainers on Protective Factors through Strengthening Families Georgia. Food Assistance Phone Line

Sponsored by the Camden Family Connection Collaborative, The Camden Hunger Hotline  is a volunteer managed and operated food assistance information and referral service. As displayed in the attached business card, the food insecure in Camden County may cal l:


between  8 a.m. - 8 p.m . to receive information about food assistance available in Camden County. This service is for those individuals and families that are struggling to avoid hunger and are not familiar with local food  assistance resources: locations, services provided, and access procedures.
