If you can't commit to every Sunday, talk to director Ellen Hanson about being a bell substitute ringer! Contact Ellen at if you are interested or just show up for rehearsal. Also, upon completing the forensic interview, physical exam and/or counseling session, all children are offered a small toy or game.  These items must be NEW in accordance with Children's Hospital rules.  Examples would be board games, action figures, dolls, books, crafts or activities, sports items, stuffed animals, hot wheels, and/or toy trucks.  The cost for these items range between $5 to $10.  Anyone who would like to shop for these items is welcome to. Another option is to make a monetary contribution.  Checks should be written to the WCAC and sent to W4063 Hwy NN, Elkhorn 53121.  Indicate on the memo line that your donation is for "snacks" or "toys".  You will receive an acknowledgement for tax purposes.
Please place any donations you may have in the box marked with the WCAC sign on it which is located in the Gathering Space next to a Poster regarding The WCAC/Tree House.  Please remember that the advocacy center is a division of Children's Hospital of Milwaukee and requires that all toys, books, etc. must be NEW and should not be wrapped. "Stitchin' for Kids"
The Wednesday morning quilters have a special project in the works.  They will be making fleece blankets for the children who come to The Tree House (Children's Advocacy Center, Elkhorn) due to suspected physical or sexual abuse and/or neglect.  Age range is anywhere from a couple weeks old to 17 years of age.  This can be a traumatic experience for these precious souls and the Tree House staff has found that if they are able to give them a "Lovie" when they arrive, or leave, it helps calm and sooth the children while the process is taking place.   If you would like to help with this worthwhile endeavor, many hands make the project go quickly besides the fact that it's fun!  Contact Jackie Kuehl for more information.   Another way to be involved is to give a monetary donation to help offset the cost of each blanket ($20 per blanket).  Donations can be placed in an envelope with "Stitching for Kids" on the outside and left with Bethany in the church office.  If you prefer to write a check, make it out to Immanuel Lutheran Church and put "Stitchin' for Kids" on the memo line.   The Wednesday morning quilters plan to have this as an ongoing project.  Last year 300+ children were served at the Tree House...that is a lot of blankets. Thank you for whatever you can do to be of assistance to these children.

Want to help?  Volunteers are needed to help prep on Wednesday, May 17th starting at 1:00pm and/or Thursday, May 18 th starting at 4:00 pm.   We would also love folks to donate any kind of pies for this meal.  Please contact Linda Martin at if you can volunteer or donate pies. Thank you so much for the opportunity to help lead the Cantata on Easter. As I mentioned to the Choir, we are all born in the image of God, and we all have the ability to "Lift each other!"   That certainly happened on Sunday.   Thank you for your not needed generosity, and commitment to Celebration. This was truly a team effort.   Adam was the MVP, collecting all the music, copies, binders and providing essential accompaniment during the Cantata. Kathy was amazing and dedicated, helping lead section rehearsals, and being there when needed. Thanks to Pastor Martha for the essential words enhanced the music. Thanks to all the pit orchestra people. The addition of strings, percussion, brass was just the right touch. Thanks to the Congregation of Immanuel for supporting the Music ministry.   We are all indebted to your love and support. Have a great Spring!

+      Thank you to all who donated and/or contributed your time to this year's egg hunt. This event is such a blessing to the people of the community and we could not have done it without you!! Thanks!! Sarah Beauregard
+      Pastors Martha & Rich and all of our friends at Immanuel Lutheran, Thank you so much for your warm welcome and for the opportunity to share what God has been doing in the lives of our children at First Love Kenya. We appreciate your generous donation! We pray for you often as your church body continues in ministry. God Bless - Larry & Rhonda Voss
+          Immanuel Lutheran Church Family! We are so grateful for your help with bringing the Gospel to the people of Prague & Czech! Thank you for your willingness to express your care for this nation and country - spiritually (Thank you for all the prayers for Czech Republic, people God's got here & our ministry amongst them) & practically (Thank You so much for the generous gift we received from you, it's a big blessing & encouragement to us). We love your hearts for missions! Our church is going through a transition after our lead pastor left & we're basically re-planting. Our focus is on building deep relationships and caring community (and our missional community is a big part of that). We're also spending more time with the football players since the season is starting and there're more opportunities to share the love of Jesus with them. The anti-human trafficking brothel outreaches are on pause right now since I'm (Misa) very pregnant with our baby boy, though I'm still working with the kids & teenagers as usual. We're both very excited about becoming parents - can't wait to meet little Ollie! Please pray for God's guidance in everything we do (both ministry & parenting) and let us know how we can pray for you & your church, too. Thank You for being with us in all this! Zach & Misa
