Hello from PJ Library Calgary!

I can’t believe this will be my last official PJ Library newsletter to you all! We have officially hired a new PJ Library Coordinator (see below!), and I am so excited for you to get to know her.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for an incredible four years as your PJ Library Manager. It has been such a privilege to get to know you and your families, and your children will always hold a special place in my heart.

While I may be stepping into a new role, I want to reassure you that I am not going anywhere. I am excited to begin my new position within Calgary Jewish Federation and will continue to oversee and support PJ Library in Calgary to ensure it continues to grow and thrive for years to come.

A reminder that if your family has recently moved, please remember to email us your new address. It can take up to six weeks for an address change to take effect, so the sooner we know, the better!

We also love welcoming new faces! If you've just added a new baby to your family, or know another family who should be a part of the PJ Library community, please reach out as we would be so excited to say hello and get them connected.

I will see you all soon,

MORE FROM PJ LIBRARY

  • Reminder: Older PJ Library readers have until the 10th of each month to log in and choose their next PJ Our Way book.
  • Even if you’ve never celebrated it before, Lag B’Omer (Tuesday, May 5) is a holiday not to be missed, with family-friendly traditions including parades, bonfires, and toy bows and arrows. Grownups and kids can have great times with the info and ideas on PJ Library’s Lag B’Omer Hub.
  • Shavuot begins at sundown on May 21. It’s a holiday known in part for sweet and creamy treats, so get cooking with PJ Library’s list of family-friendly Shavuot recipes.
  • Host your friends for a Get Together! We’ve got hosting tips and activity ideas for Lag B’Omer, Shavuot, Shabbat, and more. Afterwards, submit a report so we can send a $100 microgrant to cover your expenses. We’ve expanded the program so you can do this up to FIVE times this year!!! See the full rules and details.

Have any questions? New to the community or looking

to make connections with other families? I can help!
