Thanks to everyone who made it to this year's volunteer party! SHARE's volunteers are at the heart of what we do, and they have an enormous impact on women facing some of the most difficult times of their lives. At this year's party, which was on National Volunteer Appreciation Day, SHARE staff was honored to pass on some of the thanks and praise these women have said about our volunteers.
"Thank you so much to all the wonderful and well informed caring volunteers at SHARE. What a source of strength you have been to me. From pre-surgery conversations in anxiety, through post-surgery exhaustion and tears. When my surgeon told me today he will most likely need to do another surgery I thought of all you ladies and your continued persistence in fighting to get and keep strong. Thank you for all of the strength to the spirit your own life challenges have given to me!"

Congress members have proposed a second piece of healthcare legislation meant to replace the ACA (Affordable Care Act) that endangers women affected by breast and ovarian cancer and their families. This legislation curtails Medicaid expansion, raises costs for older Americans, and removes protections for individuals with preexisting conditions, including cancer and related chronic conditions.
SHARE urges you to contact your congressional representatives to voice opposition to this new bill. Help us make sure women affected by cancer are protected! Find your representative
