TechGYRLS visit Comcast Universal NBC/Telemundo Studios

TechGYRLS   toured the NBC & Telemundo facilities. They met Ric Harris, President of NBC & Telemundo. They also met reporters in the newsroom. The girls learned about the new technology used in the television studios, the editing rooms, and interacted with the reporters and staff onsite.

The girls asked questions about the world of communication, the variety of job opportunities in a studio setting, and admired the facilities.

Success Story: YWCA Bucks County Stands Against Racism with All State Insurance Staff

YWCA's Creekside After school Program participated in the Stand Against Racism. This event was a success with the help of some of our awesome volunteers and friends at All State! Our volunteers read a book to the students about inclusion and our students did a great job performing for our guests. Thank you to our All State Volunteers, for making this day extra special.
Our Family Center Coordinators Providing Information at the PTHA
The YWCA had a table and promoted our Country Commons Food Pantry at the PTHA’s (PA Thoroughbred Horseman’s Association) Backstretch Health Fair at Parx Racing on 4/12/19. Family Center Coordinators Amparo Mills and Lydia Kolodub represented the YWCA at the table. The PTHA provides ongoing generous support to YWCA programs.
