#FlyAFM Blog Takes Flight!

In the midst of COVID-19, we know you have adjusted and adapted to the current situation just like our team. We have been focusing our attention on different aspects which make the Air Force Marathon an unforgettable experience for everyone who touches this world-class event.

One aspect we have focused on is the relaunch of the Air Force Marathon blog where we will share tips on running, training, rest days, and more. Check out our first blog post by clicking the button below and let us know how you will start all over differently.
Volunteer Spotlight

We celebrated National Volunteer Week at the end of April highlighting several members of our amazing Flight Crew who have volunteered their time and energy to ensure successful race weekends year after year. Check out all of the Volunteer Spotlights here.

This month we are highlighting Mary DeWire who has volunteered with the Air Force Marathon for five years and has loved every second it. Mary volunteered with Race Day Heat Sheets one year and for the other four years she has volunteered at our Race Day Beer Truck. Mary returns year after year because she enjoys how rewarding our event is for all of our participants, whether they are young, old, local, or from far away. Mary also enjoys participating in a green event and she is happy to see all of the changes that the Air Force Marathon has made over the last year to reduce our environmental impact. Mary, we are so thankful for your support over the last five years and we are so excited to see you at the next Air Force Marathon! (Pictured: Mary and her girlfriend at the 2019 Air Force Marathon)
