Hot Off the Press: The 6th Annual Bingo Bash!

BREAKING NEWS:  The 6th Annual Avondale House Bingo Bash, chaired by the dynamic duo Chereese Johnson and Binita Patel, is making headlines on Thursday, September 25, 2025 — and we hope you'll be part of the excitement! 

Taking place at the beloved Junior League of Houston, the evening will feature six lively rounds of Bingo, fabulous prizes and plenty of fun from start to finish. Clear your calendar — and your Bingo card — because this will be a night to remember! 

For nearly 50 years, Avondale House has delivered comprehensive, year-round support through its specialized day school, adult day program, residential services, and employment program, offering vital resources and care that traditional schools and community organizations often aren't equipped to provide.

Your support will help expand these life-changing services and reach more families who rely on us. As the need continues to grow, your sponsorship will help ensure we can keep providing the specialized care and support our community depends on.

This year’s event promises even more excitement, including the return of our crowd-favorite table competitions! Sponsors can decorate their tables and dress to impress, adding a splash of creativity and spirit to the evening.

Speaking of Running... Now is the Perfect Time to Join our Run for a Reason Team

Join our team for the 2026 Chevron Houston Marathon, Half Marathon or 5K!

Each year, 60+ local charity organizations become partners through Run for a Reason (RFAR) as a way to raise support for their missions. Members of the community who are interested in participating in the full marathon, half marathon or 5K are encouraged to make their miles matter through representing a charity and fundraising on their behalf as they prepare to run. We'd love to have you join Team Avondale House!

Run for a Reason Team Avondale House Perks:

• Avondale House covers the race registration fee for Chevron Marathon, Aramco Half Marathon and 5k runners.
• The top fundraiser will win a two-night stay at Hilton Americas-Houston before the big race! The marathon will be just steps from your hotel room.
• Receive a custom Avondale House bib and running shirt for race day
• Receive Avondale House swag to rep that you run for autism acceptance.
• A fan squad cheering you on at the Avondale House Hoopla Station located at mile 6.5!
