It was a rainy, raw, cold and windy day the first Thursday of May, yet the hard-core Breakfast Club attendees didn’t let that deter them from showing up! So, despite it being less than ideal conditions, things were just fine in the warm and welcoming confines of Brothers for those who came to enjoy their breakfast and good conversations with their networking peers. If you’re not taking advantage of this welcoming invitation to meet new people and create new networking opportunities, then you need to ask yourself “why not”? It only takes a few minutes and the cost of a cup of coffee on the first Thursday of the month. Stop by Brothers and see what your peers have known for quite a long time. You will be glad you did.
As expected, the Blossoms at the Beebe was a spectacular success as close to 400 guests came together at the Lucius Beebe Public Library to celebrate 100 years!! The main foyer was rocking with live music, dancing, delicious appetizers and some beverages to help quench your thirst. Special guest Doug Meehan from WCVB Boston Channel 5 was fantastic and wowed those with whom he met and spoke with during his visit. We cannot thank the fabulous Library staff enough for the amazing job that they did transforming the normally quiet library space into such a fantastic welcoming party atmosphere. This is the type of event that definitely leaves you wanting more – can’t wait until next year!!
The Chamber is pleased to announce and introduce to you our partnership with the Wakefield Food Pantry in promoting a new program and raising community awareness of the importance and the on-going needs of the Wakefield Food Pantry - The SHOP LOCAL - FEED LOCAL program! Beginning June 8 through the 18, 2023, when you shop local and spend $50 or more at any local WAKEFIELD business, a contribution of $10 will be made to the Wakefield Food Pantry’s Kids First Program, providing kid -friendly food to Wakefield families in need. Watch for further details coming out to you soon from the Chamber!!
