Greetings!
May has already brought showers…I’m ready for some flowers and sunshine!
Kathy Zorra was a ray of sunshine at our recent Jeans and Jewels Gala when she spoke to the crowd about her son Adam. As a non-verbal young adult with Autism, Adam has participated in some of our programs in the last couple of years. Recently, Kathy shared a few words on social media as a testimony to the difference that Society has made for Adam. When we asked if she’d like to share their experience in front of 200 people at Gala, she was gracious enough to say yes.
Here are her words: “I am profoundly grateful to the Society for disABILITIES that provided my son with the incredible experience of water and snow skiing - things he had only dreamed of. Your support and commitment to fostering growth through experiences has made an impact on his life,” says his mother, Kathy. “The opportunities and memories created through these programs have forever changed Adam’s life! As a parent, witnessing the joy, excitement, and newfound skills in my child is truly heartwarming, and I extend my deepest thanks to the Society for making his dreams a reality. Our family is forever grateful.”
Kathy’s willingness to share with the public helped communicate our mission and bring our goals to life for those in the room. Heartfelt testimonials like hers are the BEST way for us to let our donors and future clients know how the Society for disABILITIES changes lives. No change is too small to be noted; we want to hear how the Society has made a difference for you and your family.
Share your thoughts and words here: https://tinyurl.com/2024-Testimonials and they will be privately sent to us. Real life experiences that are shared can help us secure grants and gain donors, supporting us now and into the future as we work to make a difference.
We appreciate you all!
Cathy
