Get People You Know to Try Plant-Based Food
VegMichigan offers a variety of programs focused on introducing individuals to plant-based eating. If you would like to introduce your coworkers, classmates, or any group you are involved with to the benefits of plant-based eating, contact us for more information. We can host a plant-based meal, provide our popular giveaway bags, or something different. Our surveys show that getting people to simply try plant-based foods is one of the best ways to get them to eat more plant-based in the future. Please contact tom@vegmichigan.org for more information.

MI Healthy Climate Plan: Call to Action
In September 2020, Governor Whitmer announced a plan to make Michigan carbon-neutral by 2050, creating the MI Healthy Climate Plan. Last May, we asked our supporters to attend an online listening session with the governor to let her know that adopting a plant-based diet is one of the single best things we can do for the environment. Unfortunately, the plan was recently unveiled, and there is no mention of reducing Michigan's collective carbon footprint by incorporating more plant-based foods into our diets. Please make a polite call to the governor's office and follow up with an email to ask that she promote more climate-friendly diets. Contact the governor here, or reach the executive office by phone at: 517-335-7858.
