4th Annual Auction results: We made our 11K goal! Thank you to everyone who donated and participated in the  auction. It takes a lot to keep our library running, and we so appreciate you all. Congratulations to all the winners!

From the Circulation Desk:

April 8, 2024 will be forever remembered in my Springvale Library career. The excitement came off the patrons in waves. The phone did not stop ringing all day with people looking for the elusive solar glasses.

We were so worried about the weather! Historically speaking April 8th has been a cloudy day for 50 years. Like magic, our day was perfect-not a cloud in the sky, and a balmy 60 degrees!

We welcomed more than 300 people to our eclipse party! We were doing crafts, giving tattoos, and offering solar themed snacks. With our friends and neighbors we gazed at the skies as the sun and moon delighted us all.

Thank you to everyone who came and shared the afternoon with us. Thank you to everyone who shared glasses to make sure that everyone was able to take in the moment. We are already making notes for the next coast to coast eclipse in 2045!
