May Newsletter
Give & Gather
In years past we have hosted an annual luncheon, due to COVID, we are changing things up a bit! We would love for you to host your own luncheon with your friends.

For the week of May 10th through May 15th you can dine at one of our restaurant sponsored locations listed on the adjoining picture.

These local restaurants have committed to donating 10% of their lunch sales to VOA during select days.

Thank you to these restaurants for their support!

The temporary space is located at Women’s Hearth located (920 W. 2nd Ave). The shelter will serve youth 18-24 years old at a 15 bed capacity from 9:00pm to 8:00am. The shelter will operate at a first come, first serve basis and will provide one meal.

VOA was selected by the Continuum of Care board to be the operator of the Young Adult Shelter with the funding awarded by a grant from commerce totaling $2.7 million dollars.

VOA is continuing to work with community partners to identify a permanent location that will serve 45 young adults in a 24/7 shelter model.
Education is key to ending poverty
We are excited to announce our Crosswalk Youth Shelter is now a certified GED testing site. Not only do the youth work with a teacher to take the test...they can test onsite too!
