Young Lawyers Division Presents “Preserving Issues for Appeal” Moderated by Hon. Charles R. Wilson
On Tuesday May 16, 2023, the Young Lawyers Division of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association held a practitioner panel discussion titled “Preserving Issues for Appeal.” The event served to educate attendees on best practices for trial, briefs, oral argument, and more. The goal was to help practitioners avoid common mistakes and share effective strategies with respect to handling appeals at both the trial and appellate level. The panel was moderated by the Honorable Charles R. Wilson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. The panelists included Hala Sandridge of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, Michael Matthews of Foley & Lardner LLP, Matthew Conigliaro of Carlton Fields, and retired Second DCA Judge Chris Altenbernd of Banker Lopez Gassler P.A.
