Message from President Dot Muir

First and foremost on my mind is something that was brought to my attention this Monday and I must say I was totally shocked!!

To think that someone in our membership would start a petition to uproot the Board of Directors......

Let me tell you... everything that the Board has done has been in the best interest of the Society, to bring harmony to the Center. A place to enjoy without conflict.

I really think people should do some investigating before they decide to act.

That said I hope at some point we all settle down and get back to being a good place to be.

Getting on with to day-to-day business.

June 21st and 22nd - The garage sale is not far off so get your treasures in by June 14th, the cut-off day. Helpers are needed to price and sell, hotdogs will be on the barbie Saturday morning (by donation). Come out and enjoy the bargains.

July 1st - a fun day is being planned for the Center. There will be games that have an entry fee to be used as prize money for the winners. We will have an assortment of other fun stuff. More info on this later.

Our AGM continuance will take place next Tuesday May 7th at 2:00. Your attendance is appreciated. Half, plus 2, Board positions are up for election.

Cashiers, dishwashers and sandwich makers are needed. Think about giving a couple hours once or twice a week. More hands make less work so leave your name at the front desk with what you prefer to do. We will gladly call you.

Looking forward to seeing many faces at the AGM, take care, Dot
