Dear friends, family, and valued clients!

As the lilacs bloom and Bigfork trades snow boots for sandals, May wraps us in that long-awaited warmth that feels like a reward. The Flathead Valley is coming back to life, one sunny afternoon at a time. We’re dusting off patios, opening windows, and leaning into all the fresh energy this season brings.

Real estate is waking up too—and not slowly.

May is when our market really finds its stride. Whether you're listing, buying, or simply watching the rhythm of the valley shift, you can feel the momentum. Homes shine brighter in natural light, buyers are motivated, and sellers are polishing their listings for a summer debut. It’s an exciting time to be part of this community—and the local market.

If you’re even considering a real estate move this summer, now’s the time to talk strategy. With expert guidance and a thoughtful plan, I can make sure you’re in the best position to reach your goals—before the July frenzy sets in.

Monday Market returns Memorial Day Monday, May 26th!

Find us right in the heart of Bigfork Village every Monday through the summer. Local produce, live music, baked goods, crafts, and friendly faces—you know the drill. I'm thrilled to support this vibrant piece of community life again this year.

Wild Mile Whitewater Festival is also returning Memorial Day weekend for it's 50th year! Be sure to join us as Bigfork’s riverfront transforms with live music, rafting, local vendors, and that electric, only-in-Bigfork energy. Don’t miss it—it’s one of those fan favorite weekends of the year.

To all the moms—of kids, pets, plants, and beyond—thank you.

Mother’s Day may have just passed, but the love and care you give echoes far beyond a single Sunday. I hope you felt celebrated, cherished, and maybe even got breakfast in bed (or at least a quiet moment with your coffee).

May babies, this one's for us!🍰🥂 -Yes, I’m a May birthday too, and I can’t help but love the idea of sharing this month with so many thoughtful, grounded, and sunshine-loving souls. If you’re celebrating this month, I’m raising a slice of cake in your honor.

Memorial Day marks more than the start of summer—it’s a time to remember. As we enjoy long weekends and lake days, may we also take time to honor those who served and sacrificed. Their courage is part of the freedom we live every day.

Whether you're planning a move or just planting tomatoes, I’m here to help you make the most of this season. With experience, professionalism, and a love for this valley that runs deep, it’s my joy to guide clients and friends like you through each step of the process.

Let’s talk about what May could bring your way.

Warm wishes (and a Happy Birthday to fellow May Babies!)

Denise

Love, Shedding, and Seasonal Shenanigans

Hello, favorite reader I'm here to share some springtime thoughts and tail wags. As the snow melts and the birds start singing, everything feels a little brighter, a little fresher, and honestly... a little fuzzier.

This past weekend, as my hoomans celebrated Mother’s Day, I couldn’t help but think about all the moms out there—biological, adoptive, honorary—who fill our homes with comfort, treats, and unconditional love. Whether you’re a dog mom, a hooman mom, or someone who simply shows up with a kind heart and warm hands, thank you. We feel your love every day.

Speaking of love, I recently read (okay, snoozed next to while it was read aloud) a Newsweek article that really got my tail wagging. A canine behaviorist shared some wonderful ways we pups show our affection—and I couldn’t wait to share them with you:

  • Tail Wagging (to the right!): Yes, it's true—when my tail wags slightly more to the right, it's my way of saying, "You're my favorite person in the whole wide world."
  • Leaning Against You: When I nuzzle or rest against your leg, it's not just for warmth—it's trust, love, and a quiet “thank you” for being my hooman.
  • Following You Around: Some call it clingy. I call it loyalty. If I’m always a few steps behind you, it’s because life is better when we’re together.

And here’s something that wasn’t in the article, but should’ve been: when I bring you my favorite toy (even the soggy one), it’s me saying, "I love you enough to share my treasure."

Also worth mentioning—love isn't just shown with snuggles and tail wags. Denise and I saw a few of our cutest friends recently rocking matching t-shirts and let me tell you, nothing says “we belong together” quite like coordinated outfits. It was adorable and honestly, pawsitively heartwarming.

Spring Shedding: The Fluff Awakens

Now, onto less sentimental (but very real) stuff—THE SHEDDING. Oh, the fluff. Our thick double coats are saying goodbye to winter, and your black pants will never be the same. Brushing me a few times a week—daily, if you’re feeling ambitious—helps a ton. Trust me, I’ll love the extra attention too!

Allergies Aren’t Just for You

If I've been extra itchy lately, it’s probably not just because I rolled in something weird (though that does happen). Pollen gets to us pups too—runny eyes, sneezing, licking our paws. If you're noticing any of that, a quick chat with the vet can help me feel more like myself again.

Spring Hazards to Sniff Out

More sunshine = more exploring. But a few things to watch out for:

  • Toxic Plants: Tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths are pretty to look at—but not to chew.
  • Cleaning Products: If it smells like lemons or bleach, keep it out of paw’s reach.
  • Too Much Fun: Longer walks and playtime are amazing, but if I’ve been a couch potato all winter, please ease me back in.

Helping Us Stay Healthy

I’ll be honest—those winter snacks added up. If your pup is looking a little rounder, don’t be shy about cutting back on the treats and adding some walks. A healthy pup is a happy (and longer-living) pup!

Spring is more than just a new season—it’s a chance to reconnect, reset, and appreciate the love around us. Whether it's a tail wag, a warm snuggle, or just following you from room to room, know this: you hoomans are our world. Thanks for being such a wonderful ones.

And to all the moms—whether you're covered in fur or fingerprints—you are loved more than you know.

With fur in the air and love in my heart,

Ceri

-The Secret Garden

Discover Frances Hodgson Burnett's most popular novel in the enchanting world of "The Secret Garden," a timeless tale of friendship, healing, and the transformative power of nature.

Mary Lennox, a spoiled, ill-tempered, and unhealthy child, comes to live with her reclusive uncle in Misselthwaite Manor on England's Yorkshire moors after the death of her parents. There she meets a hearty housekeeper and her spirited brother, a dour gardener, a cheerful robin, and her willful, hysterical, and sickly cousin, Master Colin, whose wails she hears echoing through the house at night.

With the help of the robin, Mary finds the door to a secret garden, neglected and hidden for years. When she decides to restore the garden in secret, the story becomes a charming journey into the places of the heart, where faith restores health, flowers refresh the spirit, and the magic of the garden, coming to life anew, brings health to Colin and happiness to Mary.

This timeless classic continues to inspire and delight generations.
