Professor Sir Bruce Keogh has announced he will be stepping down as NHS England’s National Medical Director at the end of 2017. He will take up his new role as Chair of Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Foundation Trust once his term at NHS England ends.
Sir Bruce Keogh has been NHS England’s National Medical Director since the body was formed in 2013. For five years prior to 2013, he was Medical Director of the NHS in England.
