Roof Report #1
The winter of 2019 was a challenge for the theater. Heavy snow caused ice jams and leaks. The board acted quickly to get the roof shoveled and Paul maintained constant watch on the buckets. Damage occurred in spite of everyone's hard work. Now that the flat roof is free of snow, shingles are blowing off. The theater's failing roof is a constant worry and expense.
We are fortunate to not have any lead, asbestos, or mold at this time to have to remediate. The veteran building has good bones, but it requires immediate roof repairs.
After a lengthy study John DeLeers, presented to the entire board this past week, his company's analysis and cost projections for the repairs. We anticipate that the repairs to the Quonset hut and adjacent flat roof will be costly, but this essential work can be completed this summer if sufficient funds can be raised. This is important because of the damage to the theatre.
In upcoming Roof Reports the work to be done will described in detail. Now the Three Lakes Center for the Arts needs your donation in order to schedule the work which cannot be delayed. Thank you for your help.
