I totally embarrassed to admit that it's only in the last 6 months that I created my first playlist! Why I waited so long I have no idea! Like many folks, music is super-important to me and a great inspiration to my work and personal life. I put on my Bose headphones and go on a hike here in the red rocks with my brothers and sisters of the tree, plant, and rock people. And immediately what happens is I create "the space" i refer to above for my innate wisdom to flow back in!
Important Hint: Always go with what works! The above works for me! You'd be surprised how many folks don't go with what they "know" works for them to quiet down. Stick with what works!
This last group of "adds" seem to be particularly inspiring. I found myself making one of the most powerful and strongest personal climbs up a mountain in a while. The Joe Cocker song I indicate below hit its crescendo the exact moment I reached the summit -- it was pretty awesome!
Joe Cocker: With A Little Help From My Friends (Live Version) - Blew me away!
Pearl Jam: Black (MTV Unplugged Version from 1992) - The moment I became a fan. Eddie singing his guts out. (For S.M.F)
Kelly Joe Phelps:
Goodnight Irene - Considered by musicians, the very best slide-guitarist of our generation
Alexi Murdoch:
Orange Sky - What I can say about Alexi -- a special human being who's music has had a great influence on me. Keeps me in my heart and remembering the people I will always love.
