Employers considering bringing their employees back into the office might want to reconsider.
A whopping 58% of workers say they would “absolutely” look for a new job if they weren’t allowed to continue working remotely in their current position, new data finds. According to FlexJobs, which surveyed more than 2,100 people who have been working remotely during the pandemic, 31% aren’t sure what they would do and only 11% say not being able to continue working remotely is not a big deal to them.

7 Things Employees Get Wrong About ‘Wrongful Termination’
Frank Feldman | HRMorning.com | October 30, 2019
A wrongful termination claim can be filed in a court of law if an employee believes he or she has been ‘illegally’ fired from the job. Such claims result from an alleged violation of federal or state anti-discrimination laws, employment contracts or labor laws, including whistle-blower laws. A wrongful termination claim can also be filed when an employee believes the termination was due to sexual harassment or in retaliation to a complaint or workers’ compensation claim. All of this seems pretty straight forward – wrongful always means unfair – right? Not in the legal sense, no.

4 Keys and a Practical Exercise to Improve Your Communication as a Leader
Gustavo Giorgi | Entrepreneur.com | April 14, 2021
As a leader, you will know that one of the main challenges that the position presents is being able to communicate efficiently with our collaborators. The lines that follow can be safely considered a tribute to the great Paul Watzlawick , a pioneer in the theory of human communication. Thank God, the work is much easier to understand than his own surname and today it continues to guide us in understanding this complex and multidimensional phenomenon. I want to introduce you to four of his axioms and then check all their value in relation to leadership.

An Overflowing Inbox is Driving Employees to Quit
Paola Peralta | Employee Benefits News | April 22, 2021
Staying in touch with your workforce has become a critical part to making remote work run smoothly. But there’s a fine line between helpful and harmful outreach. Twenty-two percent of employees want to leave their current job because of the volume of email they receive, according to a productivity survey conducted by Superhuman, an email platform. A third of employees say that too many video calls makes them want to quit. Managers feel the need to overcompensate for the lack of in-person connectivity — firing off endless messages and responding without delay. But those work communications are a major source of distraction and stress for their teams: 44% of employees dream of a work day without video calls, nearly a third want a break from email and the remaining 25% crave a notification-free day.

10 Ways to Motivate Your Employees (Without Money)
ENTREPRENEUR STAFF | Entrepreneur.com | 2021
No, salary is not everything. Of course, fair pay is important so that every employee is motivated to do their best at work… but this is just the basis. In reality, there are many other factors that influence the mood - and thus productivity - of people. Take them into account to build a happy and efficient work team:
1. Make sure everyone is in the right position
Having someone poorly trained in a key position is just as catastrophic as having someone highly skilled doing overly simple tasks. If you notice that someone has initiative and is capable of accomplishing important tasks, don't bore them by asking them to spend the day emailing! Take care that all people are suitable for their position.

OSHA is reviewing the recent CDC guidance and will update our materials on this website accordingly. Until those updates are complete, please refer to the CDC guidance for information on measures appropriate to protect fully vaccinated workers.
